Centre Rob Niedermayer was a coveted junior prospect with skill and grit while playing for the Medicine Hat Tigers of the WHL and helped Canada win gold at the 1993 World Juniors.

Drafted 5th overall by the Florida Panthers in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft, starting his career immediately.

Rob played 18 seasons with Florida, Calgary, Anaheim, New Jersey and Buffalo winning the Stanley Cup with Anaheim 2006, losing with Florida 1996 and Anaheim 2003.
