Curt Fraser played minor hockey with North Shore Winter Club prior to four exemplary years with the WHL’s Victoria Cougars.

Drafted 22nd overall in 1978 by the Vancouver Canucks in the NHL’s Entry Draft, making the team the same year.

The hard-nosed left winger was one of the most underrated power forwards in the NHL during a career that lasted over 700 games playing for Vancouver, Chicago and Minnesota, not only was he one of the league’s toughest customers, he also scored at least 25 goals five times.
